  3. Name of Demo:  HyperKRS + HyperIndexer

  7. What the Demo/Application Does:
  8.  
  9.     The demo shows the use of full-text retrieval for HyperCard stacks.  You
  10.     can build searches for HyperCard stacks using AND, OR, BUT NOT, Exact
  11.     Order, Proximity, Wildcard, Field Specifc, Intermediate Word Search, and
  12.     Adjacency.  HyperKRS searches the entire stack, or stacks, and returns a
  13.     card title or "hit" list.  Each card title indicates how many hits in that
  14.     card to provide a relevancy factor.  HyperKRS works with both magnetic and
  15.     CD-ROM based information.
  16.  
  17.     The power behind the text retrieval is the indexing system. HyperIndexer
  18.     builds an inverted word index and creates descriptors for each word that
  19.     indicate the stack, card,paragraph, word, and field location.  Everything
  20.     is pre-computed so search times are very fast regardless of stack size.

  22. Software/Hardware Required to Run the Demo:

  24.     SE or higher, one megabyte of RAM, and HyperCard 1.2.
  25.     There are no restrictions associated with this demo.
